Good morning Friend! Here are some easy actions to take this Monday:

Action No. 1 It is a rarity when we agree with this man. Let’s take advantage of this unusual opportunity and thank Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) for his public reprimand of Trump for ignoring the Constitution and taking military action without Congressional approval. Action No. 2 Trump has repeatedly alleged widespread voter fraud in the election. The misinformation he is spreading about illegal voting serves to undermine our voting rights. Federal Election Commissioner Ellen L. Weintraub has sent a letter to President Trump (click here for full text) reiterating the need for the president to produce evidence to back up his outlandish claims that millions voted illegally in the 2016 election.  If you agree you can sign the petition here:

Action No. 3 Thank Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-OR) for his 15-hour filibuster to protest Gorsuch. It was a valiant attempt in what we knew was an inevitable result.

Action No. 4  This action takes more time. April 15th looms large for most Americans as the day we pay our taxes.  Trump told the American people he’d release his tax returns.  Despite intense public pressure, he hasn’t done so – breaking with 40 years of precedence.  He says “People don’t care.”  The Tax March aims to show him, that actually, we do care, very much so.  .  Even if you can’t attend a march for the whole time, an hour is better than none and you will feel good about making your presence known.

Check out this link for local protests. Scroll down to the bottom for the state links. http://taxmarch.org/

That’s it for today.  Have a great Monday – Betty
