Good morning! It is a sad day as we watch Putin’s war on Ukraine destroy innocent lives. And it’s frustrating that, as individuals, there is little we can do right now. For me, there is some comfort in having a level-headed president in the U.S. who is taking action that keeps our allies united. In the meantime, there are enough fires here at home that we can help douse.

In Texas, Gov. Greg Abbott has told state health agencies that medical treatments provided to transgender adolescents, widely considered to be the standard of care in medicine, should be classified as “child abuse” under existing state law.

What can we do? Contact the media/investor relations departments at five of the biggest companies in Texas. This action will take a bit of time—it is important that we personalize our letters as best as we can. They will ignore copy/paste-looking letters. But once you set up your letter, you can use it four more times this coming week. It’s Friday. Use the weekend to help trans kids and their families.
Thanks for taking the first step, Betty

Gender identification should not be controlled by the government.
Forcing teachers and doctors to become government agents is immoral.
This policy will harm teachers, doctors, parents and trans kids/may force separation of trans kids from their parents.

What will American Airlines do to stand with trans kids and families other than issuing a pro-LGBTQ statement?
I have flown with AA many times/an upcoming trip on AA and will never fly with AA if you keep quiet/don’t take significant action/don’t’ threaten to leave the state.
