Good evening! I apologize for not sending out any action alerts recently. The daily bombardment of hateful actions in December overwhelmed me. I will do better in 2026! A friend sent this link and I want to share it with you. It’s always good to start off a new year with a little humor.

I wish you all a new year filled with hope.

And now the music:
The poem “Auld Lang Syne” was written by Robert Burns (1759-1796) who is considered to be the national poet of Scotland. His words have been put to music by countless composers. “Fantasia on Auld Lang Syne” written by Englishman Ernest Tomlinson (1924-2015), well-know for his slight of hand with musical notes, really deserves the prize for comedic composition. Written in 1976, he infuses classical and popular melodies (as many as 152) in contrapuntal style. The transitions can be temporarily jarring but this piece never fails to make me laugh, a good way to start 2026.
