MARCH 10, 2025

Greetings! The Wisconsin Supreme Court election on April 1st is important with the retirement of a left-leaning justice. Democrats are backing Dane County Judge Susan Crawford, who has represented Planned Parenthood and stood up in court for voting and workers’ rights, including arguing for the teacher’s union. And now the music

Gioachino Rossini (1792-1868) was an Italian composer noted for his operas, particularly his comic operas, (The Barber of Seville,  Cinderella  and the larger-scale dramatic opera, William Tell. His string sonatas are enjoyable and pleasant with less drama. This is the first movement, Allegro, of his Sonata No.2 in C Major.
