Good morning,  I apologize for the wrong date on yesterday’s message – it should have been May 25, a day we will long remember for all the wrong reasons.

If you want to contribute to gun safety organizations here is a good list:

  • The Giffords Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence provides critical research and resources to lawmakers and activists fighting to save lives through common sense gun safety legislation; donate to support their work.
  • Everytown for Gun Safety is the largest gun violence prevention organization in the country, working in all 50 states and the District of Columbia (and they’ve got an interactive map for updates). Join their activist team and donate to support their work.
  • Moms Demand Action (founded by Shannon Watts, a mom of 5, but certainly not limited to moms for membership and activism) is part of the Everytown network with chapters in every state, including ours.
  • Here in our Massachusetts, we are fortunate to have the Massachusetts Coalition to Prevent Gun Violence focused specifically on state policy and activism. Join their advocacy efforts and donate to support their work.

Have a long, peaceful weekend, Betty
