Good afternoon!
Every time a government agency proposes a rule change, it is required to notify the public and accept feedback. In March, DJT signed an executive order directing the U.S. Post Office to cut off ballot delivery in any state that refuses to turn over their voter rolls, including names and Social Security Numbers. A federal judge has blocked it so far. The Constitution is clear: states and congress run elections. The comment period for the USPS rule change will close on July 2, 2026.

Ironically you can only submit comments on the government website by snail mail but the League of Women Voters has an online link that goes to the USPS. Sorry for the late notice. It took me awhile to track this down. Happy 4th of July to all of you!

And now the music:
“Please Mr. Postman” which was recorded in 1961 by the Marvelettes (first known as the Marvels) was the first Motown song to reach the number-one position on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart in 1961. The quintet consisted of high school friends Gladys Horton, Katherine Anderson, Georgeanna Tillman, Juanita Cowart, and Georgia Dobbins
