FEBRUARY 25, 2025
Greetings! On February 28th,from midnight to 11:59 p.m., a national shopping boycott has been organized by John Schwarz, founder of The People’s Union USA. The purpose is to show the power of the purse, our purse, to the billionaire and wannabe billionaire businesses who are supporting Trump. Undoubtedly, there will be many never-Trumper businesses, both national and local, who will be affected as well. It’s hard to parse out which businesses are in which category. My suggestion is to support the local businesses you care about before or after the boycott and let them know you are doing this.
Below is a researched list of pro-Trump businesses. I have listed them according to the company name, not the owner, i.e., Amazon instead of Jeff Bezos owner of Amazon, to make it easier to read. I am not including the many lists on social media that have no reliable source. Stay aware, stay strong, Betty.

And now the music:
Frederic Rweski (pronounced soft J-EV-SKI) was born in Massachusetts in 1938 and passed away in 2021. He spent most of his life in Europe and taught at major universities in the U.S. for periods of time. His music reflected his social and political views. On this recording he performs his composition The People United Will Never Be Defeated. It is a set of 36 variations for piano, based on a Chilean protest song El pueblo unido jamás será vencido. He whistles along on Variations 12 and 13; variation 14 is wonderful mix of gospel/jazz. Even if you only listen to a few of the variations of this monumental work you will feel the power of his musical message.
