Good morning! Of the many hideous architectural plans DJT has proposed and/or acted on, the “Triumphal Arch” ranks as offensive as its proposed height. This 250-foot-tall monstrosity will dwarf the Lincoln Memorial (99 feet tall) and obstruct the sight line from the Lincoln Memorial to the Arlington Cemetery where over 16,000 veterans of the Civil War are buried. Ideas for comments (to be taken with a grain of salt):
The proposed Trump Arch is a hideous/atrocious/shocking/ugly
monument to this current President’s insatiable/deep/pathetic/obnoxious vanity/arrogance/vainglory.
His self-aggrandizement/self-glorification/hubris
should not be raised on the backs of taxpayers.
It will destroy the sightline between the Lincoln Memorial and Arlington Cemetery and will mar the Washington skyline with an out-of-proportion shrine/marker/tribute
to a convicted felon/the 47th President.
I do not support this project at all.
